Bo’ness ASC was fortunate to have six swimmers competing at the Scottish Short Course Nationals at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh before Christmas.
The three day event 14-16th December was attended by over 650 competitors, quite something for the Bo’ness kids. All the swimmers were swimming as F.I.R.S.T. (Falkirk Integrated Regional Swim Team) which is a combined training team of elite athletes from Bo’ness ASC, Falkirk Otters ASC and Grangemouth ASC.
Duncan Scott (15) had been entered for 8 events but illness meant it was wiser to not compete in the long distance events. He came home with a Gold in the 100 IM (Individual Medley) and a new 15 and under west district record.
The swimmers will be in East Kilbride over the next two weekends for the West District Long Course and for Scottish Schools. Good Luck to you all.
