Bo’ness Amateur Swimming Club had five swimmers competing as part of F.I.R.S.T. ( Falkirk Integrated Regional Swim Team) at the nationals. Some of the swimmers left on Wednesday 14th December to return after a superb 4 days of swimming. They travelled to Inverness one of few eight lane 25m pools in Scotland.

Day 2 - Duncan Scott (14) swam a 100 Fly. The morning over the younger swimmers returned for the afternoon session. This is under 14 for girls and under 15 for boys. Duncan Scott competed in the 400 Free. He had a 13 second PB and finished 13th having qualified in 34th place. His next event was the 400 Individual Medley. A 6 second PB and a 4th place.

Day 3 - Duncan was in the 200 Butterfly. He PB’d and finished 22 having qualified 28th. Duncan returned for the afternoon session and the 1500m Freestyle. He knocked 13 seconds off his entry time and finished 6th in the 15 and under.

A great weekend of swimming from a young team. F.I.R.S.T. are a force to be reckoned with. What will they achieve at the Scottish National Age Groups in March/April.
